Description

The 1973 Ford Mustang convertible featured a redesigned front with a large, impact-resistant urethane bumper and a new grille with a “floating” pony badge and vertical parking lights, reflecting new government safety standards. Available with engines like the 302 V8 or the 351 Cobra Jet V8, it offered options such as a power convertible top, power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, and optional forged aluminum wheels. The 1973 convertible was a final edition of the first-generation Mustang before the smaller Mustang II was introduced the following year.
